Financial Support for Families Living Near Conflict Zones
The Ukrainian government has announced a one-time payment of 19,400 UAH to households residing in frontline regions, distributed via Ukrposhta. This assistance aims to help families prepare for the upcoming winter season by easing financial challenges. The payment is allocated per household to ensure targeted support for those most in need.
Who Qualifies for the Assistance?
The support program covers various groups, including:
- individuals receiving pensions or disability social benefits;
- elderly people living alone;
- internally displaced persons (IDPs);
- recipients of housing subsidies;
- families with many children and foster families;
- households with children who have disabilities;
- and others.
Applications must be submitted by October 30. To apply, eligible individuals should provide a written request to local government offices, the Pension Fund, or Administrative Service Centers (CNAP).
Funding for this initiative comes from international organizations through the Humanitarian Account of Ukraine’s Ministry of Social Policy. Payments will be made through Ukrposhta, with recipients able to choose between home delivery by postal workers or collection at a local Ukrposhta branch.
