The first scientific council on tourism at the State Agency for Tourism Development has already held its first meeting. Scientists from Ukrainian universities with experience in the field of tourism have united to promote the development of this industry.
At the head of the council is Marta Barna - Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, and First Vice-Rector of the Lviv University of Trade and Economics. A strategic meeting was immediately held to determine the further directions of work.
Also included in the council are Viktoriya Yavorskaya - Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor at Odesa National University, and Secretary Lyudmyla Matviichuk - Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor at Lutsk National Technical University.
The scientific council is appointed for cooperation between the state and the scientific community to develop the tourism sector in Ukraine. It will provide analytical support, conduct research, and make professional conclusions to support the development of the country's tourism industry.
