Types of Financial Aid Available Through the Diia App
Ukrainian citizens can now apply for three distinct types of government financial assistance entirely online via the Diia app, eliminating the need for paper documents. Approved funds are deposited directly onto the user's Diia.Card. This digital-first approach is part of a broader effort to modernize social services in the country.
Users of the Diia mobile application have access to at least three key financial support programs:
- A winter support payment of 1000 hryvnias is available to all citizens who meet the program's basic requirements.
- A one-time payment of 6500 hryvnias is designated for vulnerable population groups, including low-income families.
- A new basic social assistance payment, starting from 4500 hryvnias per family, consolidates several previous types of support.
The aid amount is calculated automatically based on data from state registries. Application requires data confirmation for all adult family members. Some programs have limited application periods, so timely action is important. Once approved, funds are credited to the Diia.Card, simplifying access for recipients.
Enhancing the Accessibility of Social Support
The introduction of these new aid types through the Diia app marks a significant step in improving access to social support in Ukraine. The fully digital application process simplifies procedures for citizens, which is particularly crucial given current economic challenges.
Initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable population segments can serve as vital tools in combating poverty and enhancing overall social welfare.
