The State Ecological Inspection controls the pollution of the Ladyzhyn Reservoir with petroleum products

Державна екологічна інспекція здійснює нагляд за очисткою води в Ладижинському водосховищі від нафтопродуктів.

Control of pollution in the Ladyzhyn Reservoir

The State Ecological Inspection of the Vinnytsia region is monitoring the pollution of the Ladyzhyn Reservoir with petroleum products, conducting regular inspections and measures to localize the pollution. This issue became relevant after the detection of oily spots in the reservoir, which was recorded in December 2025.

On January 5, 2026, inspectors from the State Ecological Inspection conducted an inspection of the shoreline of the reservoir in the territory of the Haisyn City Council. These measures allow for a prompt response to potential threats to ecology and public health. It is important to note that, at this time, no critical situation has been recorded. As reported by the State Ecological Inspection, there is currently no threat to public health and the environment.

Monitoring the situation

Monitoring of the situation continues, and specialists plan to take additional measures if necessary. The State Ecological Inspection emphasizes the importance of monitoring water quality in the Ladyzhyn Reservoir, as this is directly related to the ecological state of the region.

Monitoring water quality in the Ladyzhyn Reservoir is important not only for maintaining ecological balance but also for ensuring the safety of the population that uses this water. Regular inspections and situation monitoring allow for early detection of pollution, which increases the effectiveness of measures taken for their localization. This issue remains relevant, as water resource pollution can have long-term consequences for the region and its inhabitants.
