The State Energy Supervision Authority completed monitoring of anti-emergency automation at electric power facilities as part of preparations for the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026. Equipment was checked at more than one thousand substations and for 10.3 thousand power lines.
According to the evaluation results, it was established that most of the automatic frequency control devices are in working condition and comply with the requirements of current regulatory documents. However, about 350 comments were found.
Deficiencies concern the absence or malfunction of telemechanics and telemeasurement devices at substations, as well as damage to lines or equipment with automatic frequency unloading devices.
Distribution system operators and electricity consumers were given recommendations to eliminate deficiencies. The territorial bodies of the State Energy Supervision Authority will monitor the implementation of these recommendations. It is noted that timely elimination of comments is an important component of the safety of energy facilities under the conditions of increased winter load.
'The correct operation of the system's anti-emergency automation is key to the stability of Ukraine's energy system during this special period,' emphasized the State Energy Supervision Authority.
The state control body emphasizes the importance of timely monitoring and controlling the operation of anti-emergency automation to ensure stable electricity supply to the population and important facilities.
