State support program for internally displaced persons
The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has launched a state support program for internally displaced persons (IDPs) to purchase solid household fuel. This initiative began in the fall and aims to support people who are currently facing difficulties due to the war.
Assistance is intended for those IDPs who have benefits or housing subsidies. It is important to note that financial support is not provided to those who have received funds for fuel from international organizations. The Pension Fund of Ukraine has already financed UAH 78.9 million, which will assist nearly 9 thousand people. This program aims to alleviate the living conditions of internally displaced persons during a challenging time.
Importance of the program
The introduction of the state support program reflects the efforts of the Ukrainian authorities to ease the living conditions of internally displaced persons in wartime. Considering that many people find themselves in a difficult financial situation due to displacement, state assistance for the purchase of fuel is an important step in meeting the basic needs of such individuals.
This also underscores the importance of collaboration between governmental structures and international organizations to ensure comprehensive support for citizens in crisis situations.
