Support for Children with Special Needs in Ukraine

A 10-year-old boy Myron, who has hearing impairments and uses a cochlear implant, received a portable charging station for his device. This important provision will allow him to hear during prolonged power outages. The initiative is implemented by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine in cooperation with the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Program Partners

The partners of the program are:

  • Ministry of Energy of Ukraine
  • State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation of Ukraine

Funding for the event is provided from the state budget through the Decarbonization Fund of Ukraine. This program is a confirmation of the state's commitment to support families with children with special needs and provide them with the necessary means to improve their quality of life.

Receiving a portable charging station demonstrates that Ukraine continues to implement initiatives aimed at supporting people with disabilities, especially in the context of energy challenges.

This initiative is part of a broader state strategy for social support of vulnerable groups of the population. In the context of constant energy difficulties that the country faces, special attention is given to ensuring access to necessary resources for people with disabilities. The program not only improves the quality of life for individuals but also emphasizes the state's commitment to inclusion and social justice.
