Dynamo Opens Austrian Training Camp with a Match Against Sparta Prague

Kyiv Dynamo Kicks Off Pre-Season Training Camp in Austria

Kyiv Dynamo has begun its pre-season training camp in Austria, where five friendly matches are scheduled. The first exhibition game will take place on June 20, with the Ukrainian side facing Sparta Prague. During the camp, the team is also set to play against Slovakian club Žilina, Poland’s Cracovia (Wieczysta), and Austrian side LASK from Linz. The coaching staff, led by Ihor Kostyuk, plans two weeks of intensive training and match play.

More than thirty players have been called up for the Austrian training camp. Among them is new signing, goalkeeper Illia Olkhovyi, who joined Dynamo from Ternopil’s Nyva. Several players who were previously out on loan have also returned to the squad: Oleksii Husiev, Navin Malysh, Justin Lonwijk, Vladyslav Herich, Valentyn Rubchynskyi, Roman Salenko, and Ángel Torres.

The Dynamo roster for the Austrian camp includes:

  • Goalkeepers: Neshcheret, Olkhovyi, Surkis, Manko
  • Defenders: Popov, Bilovar, Mykhavko, Dubinchak, Vivcharenko, Tiare, Husiev, Zakharchenko, Dykyi, Korobov, Malysh, Tymchyk
  • Midfielders: Brazhko, Buyalskyi, Voloshyn, Herich, Kabayev, Lonwijk, Mykhailenko, Ogundana, Osypenko, Pikhalyonok, Redushko, Rubchynskyi, Salenko, Torres, Shaparenko, Yarmolenko
  • Forwards: Guerrero, Ponomarenko

Dynamo forward Ponomarenko finished as the top scorer in the Premier League season, netting 13 goals in 15 matches. The club recently won the 2025/26 Ukrainian Cup, defeating Chernihiv in the final, where midfielder Buyalskyi scored a brace and winger Yarmolenko added the third goal.

This Austrian training camp is a crucial phase in Dynamo’s preparations for the new season.
