Kyiv football club Dynamo has departed for a preseason training camp in Austria. The coaching staff, led by Ihor Kostyuk, has brought along more than thirty players. Among them is the team's newcomer — goalkeeper Illia Olkhovyi, who joined Dynamo from Ternopil's Nyva. The delegation also includes players returning from loan, such as:

  • Oleksii Husiev
  • Navin Malysh
  • Justin Lonwijk
  • Vladyslav Herych
  • Valentyn Rubchynskyi
  • Roman Salenko
  • Angel Torres

2026/27 Season and Dynamo's Achievements

Dynamo's 2026/27 campaign will kick off with the Europa League qualifiers. The club will compete in the first qualifying round, with matches scheduled for July 9 and 16. The draw for this stage is set for June 16.

Notably, Dynamo won the 2025/26 Ukrainian Cup, defeating Chernihiv in the final. Midfielder Buyalskyi scored a brace for the Kyiv side, while winger Yarmolenko netted the third goal. In last season's Premier League, Dynamo forward Matvii Ponomarenko became the top scorer, recording 13 goals in 15 matches.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning the awards given at the end of each UPL season. The Best Young Player of the UPL award was first presented after the 2010/11 campaign, with Yevhen Konoplyanka from Dnipro being the first recipient. The most recent winner of this award was Matvii Ponomarenko of Dynamo for the 2025/26 season. As for the Best Coach of the UPL, this award was first given after the 2008/09 campaign, and the first laureate was Mircea Lucescu of Shakhtar. To this day, he holds the record for the most wins with seven awards.

Dynamo will be represented at the training camp in Austria by the following squad:

  • Goalkeepers: Neshcheret, Olkhovyi, Surkis, Manko
  • Defenders: Popov, Bilovar, Mykhavko, Dubinchak, Vivcharenko, Tiare, Husiev, Zakharchenko, Dykyi, Korobov, Malysh, Tymchyk
  • Midfielders: Brazhko, Buyalskyi, Voloshyn, Herych, Kabaev, Lonwijk, Mykhailenko, Ogundana, Osypenko, Pikhalonok, Redushko, Rubchynskyi, Salenko, Torres, Shaparenko, Yarmolenko
  • Forwards: Guerrero, Ponomarenko

This training camp in Austria is a crucial stage in Dynamo's preparation for the new season, particularly for the Europa League qualifiers. Successful preparation and the integration of new players like Illia Olkhovyi could be key factors in achieving the club's future goals. Given their past successes, including the Ukrainian Cup victory, the club aims to continue this trend in upcoming competitions.

As Dynamo gears up for their preseason training in Austria, the focus remains on building a robust squad ahead of the upcoming competitions.
