The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution that allows commissions to remotely assess destroyed housing in areas of active hostilities.

The corresponding mechanism was developed by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine. This tool will provide access to compensation for people who have lost their homes due to Russian aggression - in communities that have become targets of daily shelling.

Features of Remote Assessment

Assessing destroyed housing in areas of active hostilities is complicated due to the challenging security situation. Therefore, commissions that deal with establishing facts about the destruction of housing will now have the opportunity to conduct inspections remotely.

Remote assessments will be conducted by commissions established by local self-government bodies or regional military administrations. They will be able to use satellite images, materials from UAVs, as well as photos and videos obtained by homeowners on mobile phones. This will ensure the necessity of all data for addressing compensation issues.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine's resolution allows for the remote assessment of destroyed housing in areas of active hostilities, which will help people affected by the conflict to receive compensation for lost housing without needing to risk their health due to the challenging security situation.
