Children in Khmelnytskyi freed a police car from a snow trap: how it happened

On January 8, 2026, in Khmelnytskyi, a group of children helped the police by freeing a patrol car from a snow trap during heavy snowfall. These weather conditions complicated the situation on the roads, causing numerous difficulties for drivers and emergency services.

About ten children gathered to push the police car that was stuck in the snow. Their selflessness and willingness to help became an example of civic consciousness. Similar weather conditions observed that day led to 185 recorded traffic accidents across Ukraine.

Rescue operations in other regions

Moreover, rescue operations were also carried out in other regions of the country, including:

  • In Rivne region, rescuers carried a patient suffering from a stroke.
  • In Zhytomyr region, a bus with 15 passengers was freed.

These events testify to the difficulties faced by Ukrainians during winter storms and the importance of cooperation and mutual assistance in such challenging times.

The children in Khmelnytskyi pushed the patrol officers' car out of the snow trap on the road, demonstrating great determination and the desire to help.
