After announcing her departure from the Ukrainian show business, Olya Polyakova introduced her new music project The Nogi. The singer's producer Mikhail Yasinisky says that the idea arose from a desire to speak honestly about what concerns people outside the cameras and official image of the artists. He explained this in an interview with Slava Dyomin.
Why The Nogi Became an Experiment for Polyakova
According to Yasinisky, the first performance of The Nogi was not a full presentation but a test of a new format. The producer stated that the team was satisfied with the guests' reactions and the initial feedback.
He explained that the project is built on “songs of the day,” with themes of everyday life, relationships, and emotions without the usual censorship.
«It's a controversial project that's complex, but it's real. It’s about what we talk about amongst ourselves when the cameras are off,» said Yasinisky.
What Will Happen Next with The Nogi Project
In the near future, the team plans to release a music video for the song «Not on the Clock,» as well as a full album.
The producer noted that previously Polyakova worked in a classical format — releasing several singles a year. Now, however, the artists decided to immediately prepare a large release of more than ten compositions.
Yasinisky also emphasized that The Nogi became one of the fastest music projects for Polyakova in the years of their collaboration.
According to him, at the moment the team has not received negative feedback on the new format, although he calls the project risky and unusual for the Ukrainian show business.
We remind you that the joint project of Olya Polyakova and Maria Yefrosinina «Adult Girls» is closing. The last joint performance will take place on June 6 in Odessa. The project lasted 5.5 years, starting in 2021.
