Dmytro Kuleba and Svitlana Paveletska’s Wedding

On May 26, 2025, former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will marry entrepreneur Svitlana Paveletska. The ceremony will be conducted through the Diia online service, with only three people present: Kuleba, Paveletska, and an official who will perform the ceremony via a Diia screen. After the registration, a lunch with close family members—including parents and children—is planned.

Kuleba shared details of the upcoming wedding in an interview with the project Rozmova. He explained that the couple decided against a large celebration.

“We decided for ourselves: why spend money on a wedding when it could be used to support others or do something meaningful,” Kuleba said.
He also emphasized that their celebration will be “a circle of three people: me, my wife Svitlana, and the woman on the Diia screen who will marry us.”

Modern Trends in Wedding Traditions

Kuleba noted that after the ceremony, they will gather with parents and children for lunch.

“We made a decision not to go all out. We’ll just get married and continue doing what we can,” he added.
The couple chose not to spend money on a lavish party, instead directing funds toward supporting others.

This information was published by the outlet Glavcom. The couple selected their wedding date through Diia and are now eagerly anticipating this significant milestone.

Kuleba and Paveletska’s approach reflects shifting attitudes toward wedding traditions, with growing emphasis on simplicity and thrift. Amid economic uncertainty, many couples are avoiding large expenditures on celebrations and focusing on more meaningful social causes. Opting for a Diia-based ceremony also highlights an innovative approach to life’s key moments, aligning with Ukraine’s ongoing digital transformation.
