Former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba believes that direct missile strikes from Iran against Ukraine are unlikely. According to him, Tehran is currently focused on its own conflict with the USA and Israel, and loud statements about possible attacks are primarily propaganda in nature. Kuleba stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel «Conversation».

Kuleba assessed the threat of strikes from Iran against Ukraine

The former Foreign Minister noted that Iran is currently counting «every missile and every drone», so it is unlikely to spend resources on attacks against Ukraine.

«Well, so what? This is devoid of logic. But it is necessary to make a fuss that we are invincible», — Kuleba said, commenting on Tehran's threats.

In his opinion, even if Iran tried to demonstrate strength, such strikes would have more of a symbolic effect.

Kuleba explained Iran's behavior and Trump

The former minister also stated that the West often misjudges Iran, as it does not understand the nuances of Persian political culture.

According to Kuleba, the Iranian authorities think in terms of a centuries-old imperial tradition and openly demonstrate their readiness for a tough geopolitical confrontation.

Separately, the diplomat criticized the approach of U.S. President Donald Trump to the situation around Iran. In his opinion, Washington is trying to avoid a large-scale war, but at the same time has gotten into a prolonged confrontation with Tehran.

Kuleba also stated that Israel currently best understands Iran's real intentions and the threats posed by the ayatollah regime.
