New trams in Dnipro: when will the cars appear
Track renewal is associated with the launch of new low-floor trams. The city received its first car back in February 2026.
By the end of the year, they plan to deliver four more such trams. They are expected to make transportation more accessible for people with disabilities and more convenient for passengers in general.
Drivers have already noted that after the track repairs, the speed of trams on the updated sections has increased.
Track repairs in Dnipro: what else is changing
Simultaneously, the tram crossing at the intersection of Patorzhynskoho Street and Nauky Avenue is being updated.
The total scope of work:
about 140 meters of tracks
40 meters – the area of the crossing itself.
At the site already:
rails, sleepers, and fasteners have been replaced
part of the reinforced concrete slabs has been laid.
In the near future, they plan to complete the laying of slabs and move on to asphalting.
This section was last repaired in 1996, and during this time it has practically exhausted its resource.
The renewal of tram infrastructure is part of the project «Movement without barriers», which aims to modernize urban transport and improve its accessibility.
Let us remind you that another batch of Swiss Schindler Be 4/8 trams arrived in Lviv at the end of 2025.
