Power Equipment Arrives in Kyiv

The first shipment of power equipment from Poland, purchased through a charitable fundraiser, arrived in Kyiv on January 26, 2026. The total capacity of the delivered generators is 2,376 kW. The charity drive in Poland lasted 10 days and saw participation from 60,000 Poles, who collectively raised 80 million zloty, equivalent to nearly 2 million euros. Further shipments of generators are expected to follow. This grassroots effort highlights the strong public support for Ukraine within Poland, extending beyond official government aid.

Acknowledgment of Support

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko noted that the funds for these generators were collected by Polish volunteers. He thanked the organizers of the drive, the volunteers, and all those who contributed.

"This support is an example of the unity between Ukrainians and Poles, effective cooperation, and humanity in this extraordinary situation," Klitschko stated.
The first batch of generators bought with the charitable funds arrived in Kyiv today, with the next shipment of aid anticipated soon.

Large-scale emergency repair and restoration works are ongoing in Kyiv, involving all units of Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES) as well as additional forces from other regions. High-altitude workers and the special Delta unit are operating at the sites. The received equipment includes:

  • One FD 600 D diesel generator with a capacity of 600 kW,
  • One FD 80 B diesel generator with a capacity of 80 kW,
  • 20 FOGO FV20000TE/TRE generators, each with a capacity of 20 kW,
  • 108 FOGO F12000iSG generators, each with a capacity of 12 kW.

This initiative demonstrates not only solidarity between Poland and Ukraine but also the critical importance of international support during an energy crisis. With this equipment, Ukrainian services will be able to carry out emergency restoration work more effectively and improve the energy situation in the region. Support from Poland is currently a vital step in ensuring the stability of Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The arrival of subsequent generator shipments is expected to help meet urgent energy needs and bolster preparedness for potential future challenges.
