Vitali Klitschko's 2025 Asset Declaration
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko declared an income of 15 million hryvnias for 2025, a fivefold increase from his 2024 earnings of 1.23 million hryvnias in salary and 1.53 million in royalties. The bulk of his 2025 income came from royalties paid by foreign companies linked to his brother, Wladimir Klitschko. Specifically, he received 7.46 million hryvnias from Wladimir's company, Klitschko Ventures GmbH, 3.19 million from the British firm Chartwell Partners LTD, and 2.08 million from Steel City Interactive.
The declaration also lists two non-monetary gifts from his brother Wladimir, valued at a total of 1.7 million hryvnias. The mayor's official salary for 2025 was 1.44 million hryvnias. Additionally, the document shows 892,000 hryvnias received from the sale of a 2013 Land Rover Discovery to Kyiv businessman Artur Shakhsuvarov. The vehicle was previously owned by Klitschko's ex-wife, Natalia Egorova.

The 43.6-square-meter apartment is owned by his brother Wladimir, but Klitschko uses it. His declared property also includes a 785.5-square-meter vacation home in the village of Lyutizh and a 0.25-hectare land plot owned by the village council, which he is permitted to use.

For transportation, Klitschko owns a 2009 Fine Custom Puncher motorcycle and a 2013 Ironhorse Widebody trailer. He also has free use of two Toyota Sequoia vehicles from 2021 and 2024, which belong to his brother Wladimir's company, TОВ Bole.

Furthermore, Klitschko has loaned his brother Wladimir 2.15 million euros and $53,600, which are to be repaid. For comparison, the loan amount to his brother in 2015 was 8.51 million euros and $741,500. This declaration reveals a substantial rise in Vitali Klitschko's income compared to previous years, along with detailed information on his assets and liabilities. Public asset declarations for officials are a key anti-corruption measure in Ukraine, intended to ensure transparency.
The surge in Vitali Klitschko's income may indicate an expansion of business activities tied to international projects, which could, in turn, amplify his influence within the country's political and economic spheres.
It is also important to note that significant financial obligations, particularly those involving family members, could potentially influence his future political and personal decisions. Thus, the declaration not only outlines the mayor's financial status but also hints at potential risks and opportunities stemming from his financial connections.
