As part of the international action '16 days against violence', Ukraine is actively fighting against domestic violence. This problem manifests itself in various forms: physical, psychological, economic, sexual. And while some may try to divert attention from this issue, it is important to understand that there are no justifications for domestic violence.
Statistics show that in just ten months of 2025, over 103 thousand reports of domestic violence have been registered in Ukraine, of which more than 3700 were from children. The National Police and special services respond to these calls, improving protection mechanisms. Legislative changes also aid this process, including Ukraine's Law No. 3733-IX, adopted last December, which strengthens accountability for domestic violence.
Additionally, 64 sectors for combating domestic violence and 69 mobile response teams operate in Ukraine, providing comprehensive protection for victims: from promptly processing reports and ensuring confidentiality to accompanying them to a safe place.
Do not remain silent, do not stay aside, do not justify domestic violence. Call things by their names – call 102 or 112.
The measures being taken in Ukraine to combat domestic violence indicate systemic work in the field of human rights protection and public safety. It is important to support this initiative and actively engage in the fight against domestic violence to ensure a safe environment for every citizen.
