The traffic accident involving the daughter of the Slovak Minister of Foreign Affairs shocked the public on December 19 in the Slovak city of Zilina. The minister's daughter was driving a Suzuki Vitara, lost control, and crashed into a riverbank wall, but fortunately, no one was seriously injured, and the alcohol and drug test turned out negative.
The minister, Blanar, also arrived at the scene, taking responsibility for the incident. He avoids contact with the media, preferring to speak with local residents about road safety. The minister rejects any accusations of interference in the matter and urges parents to remain calm in similar situations with their children.
«I reject any interference on my part in this matter, as some media try to impose. They manipulate without any evidence. I wish all parents whose children have found themselves in similar situations the ability to calmly attend to their children without the hysteria of tabloid media», – emphasized Minister Blanar.
The Ukrainian police are also investigating other traffic accidents, including a fatal incident in the Transcarpathian region and a case of a drunk driver in Lviv who parked his car and fell asleep at the wheel.
