More than half of Ukrainian teenagers expressed a desire to stay in Ukraine after graduation. Among them, only a third plan to remain in their hometown or village.
Researchers found that the main motivations for staying in their hometowns are a sense of belonging to the community, satisfaction with their education, and participation in extracurricular activities. It was also found that students who feel part of the community and are satisfied with their education want to stay put.
The study results indicate varying views among teenagers regarding their future in Ukraine. At the same time, optimistic views on employment are characteristic of 40% of respondents, indicating faith in their own opportunities in the labor market.
