Government’s 5-7-9% Affordable Credit Program
The Ukrainian government’s 5-7-9% Affordable Credit Program continues to bolster micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises by offering preferential loans through authorized banks. This initiative is managed by the National Development Institution (NUR).
In the past week alone, authorized banks disbursed 668 subsidized loans totaling 2.1 billion UAH. Since the start of 2026, more than 30,400 loans worth 131 billion UAH have been issued. Throughout the ongoing martial law period in Ukraine, a total of 130,598 loans amounting to 503.5 billion UAH have been provided. Since the program’s inception, there have been 165,420 loan agreements signed, collectively reaching 593.1 billion UAH.
Significance of the Program
This credit program remains a vital financial lifeline for Ukrainian businesses, enhancing access to capital during times of economic uncertainty. It enables companies of various sizes to sustain operations and pursue growth, which is crucial amid the challenges posed by the war and economic recovery efforts.
The substantial volume of lending highlights strong demand from the business community for government-backed financial support and reflects increased economic activity across the country.
