At dawn on August 11, information appeared from Russian public channels about a drone attack in the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to reports, the instrument-making factory in Arzamas was attacked.
Local public channels reported that around 03:55, three 'bangs' and one powerful explosion were heard in the sky. Witnesses counted at least five drones, adding that they were flying very low.
Consequences of the attack and confirmation from authorities
Footage of the aftermath of the attack also spread online. The videos show that a fire broke out at the impact site, with a thick column of smoke rising above the building and the damaged factory itself.
The authorities confirmed the drone attack and reported that there were hits and 'minor damages' at one of the factories due to the drone strikes. Footage of the so-called minor damages has already filled local public channels.
