Ukrainian Sea Baby drones of the security service successfully attacked the Russian oil tanker Dashan in the Black Sea today, December 10. The tanker, which was in Ukraine's exclusive economic zone and had its transponder turned off, belongs to the 'shadow fleet' of the Russian Federation. The attack caused serious damage to the vessel, which is estimated to be worth $30 million.

The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Navy, carried out the operation to incapacitate the tanker intended to circumvent international sanctions. This is already the third 'shadow fleet' vessel that has been neutralized in the last two weeks. As a result of the attack, insurance rates for vessels heading to ports in the Black Sea have increased by 250%, causing significant complications for the Russian fleet. The process of expanding the 'shadow' tanker fleet of the Russian Federation has slowed down this year, but continues as new vessels replace those that have fallen under sanctions.
