Ukrainian Drone Units Strike and Destroy 'Terek' Brigade Headquarters Near Luhansk

Бойові дії українських дронів завдали удару по штабу бригади 'Терек' у районі Луганська.

Drone Attack on Occupiers

On the night of June 7, drones from the Unmanned Systems Forces obliterated a rear deployment site of the 5th Cossack Reconnaissance and Assault Brigade 'Terek' in the city of Shchastia, located in the occupied part of the Luhansk region. The distance from the front line was approximately 100 kilometers. This information was provided by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi (call sign Madyar).

That same night, the following targets were hit:

  • two surface-to-air missile systems;
  • locomotives;
  • fuel tankers;
  • six electrical substations;
  • ten communication towers.

Four buildings were destroyed: a combat readiness restoration center, the headquarters, a medical station, and a rear facility. Warehouses storing ammunition, clothing, and fuel-lubricant materials were also obliterated. The strike wiped out everything within a 400–500 meter radius.

Occupying forces reported around 40 drones, of which only two were shot down. The combat readiness restoration center was hit 23 times, with the main blow against the brigade headquarters consisting of seven direct strikes. The command post, where the commander was located, was completely destroyed. The operation was carried out by the following units: Rarog, K-2, Madyar's Birds, the 1st Special Operations Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces, and Raid. Coordination was handled by the Deep Strike Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

Comments from Russian Military Personnel

“All four buildings are destroyed... the deployment point, headquarters, and medical station... and the rear building... Warehouses are burning. There were warehouses with ammunition, supplies, and fuel-lubricant materials.”

Another soldier noted: “We have no headquarters, no third company, no medical station.”

Robert Brovdi (Madyar) commented: “Your rear is in Siberia, you worms. Enjoy your meal.”

This attack highlights significant advances in the use of unmanned technologies on the battlefield, as well as their impact on enemy logistics capabilities. The destruction of key assets like headquarters and supply depots can severely undermine the combat readiness of occupying forces and create an advantage for Ukrainian troops. The events of this evening could have serious implications for the further evolution of the conflict in the region.

The recent drone strikes highlight a significant escalation in Ukraine's military operations against occupying forces. In a related incident, Ukrainian drones also targeted the naval assets in Crimea, destroying a warship and critical air defense systems. These coordinated attacks underscore the effectiveness of Ukraine's unmanned systems in disrupting enemy logistics and command capabilities.
