Charity Concert 'I Am!'
To mark its 30th anniversary, the Ukrainian rock band Druha Rika will hold a charity concert titled 'I Am!' at the Sports Palace on March 8, 2026. The event's goal is to raise 15 million Ukrainian hryvnias to purchase an evacuation boat, MAVIC 3T drones, and server equipment for the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense. The band will also debut a new album at the concert.
The Event's Significance
Valeriy Kharchyshyn, the band's frontman, emphasized the importance of this event given the country's difficult circumstances:
“In this storm, during one of the hardest periods for each of us, we want to give you a little warmth. This show is about support, closeness, and the future, whatever it may be. And it will certainly be bright and happy because we are creating it together. We will unite, meet at the concert, embrace to the music, and feel this warmth. We will give each other smiles, a sense of joy, and a piece of music—a piece of the good 'Druha Rika'. We will remember the past and look to the future with hope.”
Tickets will be available through the band's official channels, and a direct donation option for the fundraiser will also be provided. All proceeds will support Ukrainian military forces by supplying essential equipment for critical missions. Druha Rika invites everyone who cares to join this important event and become part of a significant cause. This benefit concert highlights the band's deep commitment to social responsibility during a time of national need, as support for the military remains a pressing and urgent priority for Ukraine.
This charity concert not only celebrates the band's anniversary but also underscores its social responsibility during a challenging time for Ukraine. The 'I Am!' concert will serve as a platform not only for fundraising but also for uniting people around a common goal—supporting the country in the complex realities of the present day.
