Ukrainian U19 boxers impress at the European Championships
From 13 to 22 August, Ukraine's second U19 boxing team competed in Loznica, Serbia. The squad came away with six medals: one gold, one silver, and four bronze. The result highlights the depth of Ukrainian boxing while the main national team continues its preparations for the world championships.
Oleksandr Khomenko took the European title in the +90 kg category. Valeriia Rybchenko earned silver at +80 kg. The bronze medalists were:
- Oleksii Kolbaia (55 kg)
- Nazar Kliuchko (65 kg)
- Bohdan Kozak (70 kg)
- Kostiantyn Halytskyi (75 kg)
For the second team, this tournament offered valuable international experience and a chance to prove their level.
