Second year without Maksym Stefan: how the 24-year-old fighter of the "Bureviy" brigade perished

On December 23, 2023, two years will pass since the death of National Guard soldier Maksym Stefan, who gave his life while performing his official duties in Donetsk region. At the time of his death, he was only 24 years old. Maksym Stefan served in the 22nd separate brigade for the protection of diplomatic institutions of the National Guard of Ukraine before the full-scale invasion began.

In 2023, Maksym transferred to the "Bureviy" brigade, where he held the position of a shooter-paramedic. His life was cut short in the area of Yampol in the Kramatorsk district due to enemy mortar shelling, during which he sustained injuries incompatible with life. The death of Maksym Stefan was a great loss for his relatives and colleagues.
