Activity of the State Emergency Service in Emergency Situations

The rescuers of the State Emergency Service (SES) made over 6000 deployments to eliminate emergency situations in the last day, saving 173 people. The main efforts were focused on addressing the consequences of the Russian shelling in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, including the restoration of damaged facilities.

To support the population in difficult conditions, a separate Energy Unit was created in the SES, which is engaged in installing generators for emergency power supply to residential buildings in Kyiv. This allows to provide electricity for residents who have been left without power due to shelling and failures in the energy infrastructure.

Ensuring Security and Supporting Citizens

Additionally, due to the increased level of danger, the number of police patrols on highways and in the streets of populated areas has been increased. This aims to ensure the safety of citizens during this challenging period.

“Our work is now focused on the main goal: to ensure that people go through this period in safety and with support.” - Ihor Klymenko, Head of SES

In emergency situations, points of resilience are also operational, where inflatable modules have been deployed to assist those affected. Citizens can apply for help through the official 112 Ukraine application, which ensures fast communication with rescue services.

The actions of the SES and police during the latest shelling testify to the state's efforts in ensuring the safety of the population and operational response to emergency situations. The creation of the Energy Unit and points of resilience are important initiatives to support residents who have been affected by Russian attacks. These measures highlight the necessity of preparedness for crisis situations and the responsibility of state services in protecting citizens.
