The energy company DTEK aims to build new wind power plants with a total capacity of an impressive 1150 MW. This was announced by the company's CEO, Maksym Tyminskyi, in an interview with Forbes.

“We are currently building land-based wind stations with a capacity of 500 MW – such scales do not exist in Europe. We are also preparing a project in Poltava with a capacity of 650 MW,” he explained.

Tyminskyi emphasized that “green” energy is not only beneficial for the climate but also plays an important role in ensuring energy security.

“After the attacks on traditional thermal power plants, we realized that solar and wind stations are much more resilient to such threats, so their importance in ensuring the stability of energy supply is extremely high,” the CEO emphasized.

Earlier, it was announced that DTEK Akhmetov would invest 450 million euros in the construction of the Tiligul wind power plant in Mykolaiv region.

DTEK is actively developing “green” projects that will contribute to both environmental preservation and increased resilience in the energy sector.
