Trump and von der Leyen: strengthening relations
News about the deepening interaction between US President Donald Trump and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen surprised many. After their meeting at the G7 summit in Canada, they began to communicate actively, without the usual diplomatic constraints, which promotes the development of their partnership.
In July, Trump called von der Leyen and invited her to sign an agreement in Scotland. Regarding this, her negotiation style was impressive, and the president stated this during their subsequent meeting in Washington
The US president not only acknowledged von der Leyen's intelligence and influence but also referred to her as 'his friend'. Their discussions on increasing pressure on Russia and the issue of returning Ukraine its territories indicate significant joint efforts in developing and strengthening international relations.
Ukrainians hope that this cooperation between the USA and the European Union will help address urgent global issues and lead to peaceful conflict resolution.
