After a long pause, the franchise «Very Scary Movie» returns to the big screens. The sixth installment of the cult comedy parody will be shown in worldwide release this summer, with the Ukrainian premiere scheduled for June 11.
The first trailer for «Very Scary Movie 6» has appeared online, marking the reunion of the Wayans brothers: Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory for the first time in 18 years. Together with Rick Alvarez, they wrote the script, and Marlon and Shawn also starred in the film. The director is Michael Tiddes.
«Very Scary Movie 6» Trailer: Parodies of Modern Horrors
The clip traditionally mocks the loudest horror movies of recent years. Among the references are the films «The Sinner», «The Weapon», «Substance», and the Netflix series «Wednesday». The trailer opens with a parody of a scene in the subway from «Scream 6», where a killer robot Megan appears among the crowd.
Once again on screen are Marlon and Shawn Wayans, as well as Regina Hall and Anna Faris. The characters confront the Ghost Face and joke about the films «Get Out», «Smile», «Terrible», «Long Legs», and other hits of the genre.
