Investigation of war crime in Kyiv
Two people have been hospitalized as a result of drone attacks in Kyiv, including a 16-year-old girl. Two other victims received assistance at the scene.
The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office has launched a pre-trial investigation regarding violations of the laws and customs of war by Russian military forces under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The attack occurred on December 23, 2025, when unmanned aerial vehicles struck Kyiv, damaging a 5-story residential building in the Svyatoshyn district. Among the injured, besides the 16-year-old girl with multiple shrapnel wounds, there are two more individuals.
A woman who was nearby sustained shrapnel wounds to the head and was hospitalized in serious condition.
Rescue workers and law enforcement are currently working at the scene, and the exact number of injured is still being determined. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
