Fuel prices in Ukraine may decrease if oil continues to cheapen on the global markets. This possibility is being discussed by experts, including the director of the consulting group 'A95' Serhiy Kuyun.
'For the third month now, fuel prices have been stable - like oil, whose prices fluctuate in a narrow range. Currently, we see some decline in oil prices, and if this trend continues, there will be every reason to expect a decrease at the pumps,' explained Kuyun.
Currently, a slight decrease in fuel prices is already observed at Ukrainian gas stations. For example, the average price of A-95 gasoline has decreased by 3 kopecks, while diesel fuel has become cheaper by 2 kopecks.
Global trends
Global oil prices are also on the decline. This is related to the forecasts of the International Energy Agency about an increase in the surplus of oil supplies in 2026, as well as trade tensions between the USA and China.
A correction of fuel prices in Ukraine is possible due to the decrease in oil prices both in Ukraine and globally. A slight decrease in prices is already observed at Ukrainian gas stations, which may help ease the financial burden for car owners.
