Ex-goalkeeper Rudko detained at the border: contract with Gabala has been disrupted

Artur Rudko, former goalkeeper of the teams 'Dynamo' and 'Shakhtar', who was detained while crossing the border, planned to move abroad to the Azerbaijani club 'Gabala'. But now he is in Ukraine, as the option is no longer relevant.


The detained footballer has started military training in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is known that in the qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup, the Ukrainian national team drew with Azerbaijan with a score of 1:1. The nearest match for the Ukrainian team will be against Iceland on October 10. Moreover, recently Ukrainian fans showed their support for the national team during the match against France with a banner 'Fortress of Europe'.



Ukrainian football goalkeeper Artur Rudko, who was detained while crossing the border, turned out to be a nationalist and devoted to his country, having started military training in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian national team continues to prepare for the match against Iceland, following the recent draw with Azerbaijan.
