Former NBA player found guilty in violence case

32-year-old former National Basketball Association (NBA) player Ben McAwoy was found guilty in a violence case in 2021. According to Reuters, McAwoy was found guilty on three of the four charges, including first-degree violence.


The basketball player pleaded not guilty to any of the charges, but a ruling on the case is expected next week.


Other news reports indicate that the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has decided to continue the suspension of Russian and Belarusian teams from participating in tournaments. The decision was made at a meeting of the executive committee of the Federation in Bahrain.
