Held under the EU4Green Recovery East program, the online event 'Circular Economy in Ukraine: Identifying Priority Sectors and Value Chains' attracted over 150 participants. During the session, experts presented the current state of circular economy development in Ukraine, discussed the program’s focus areas, and explored digital tools for implementing circular solutions.
Priority Sectors and Key Discussions
Attendees placed special emphasis on sectors showing the greatest growth potential. The event served as a platform for exchanging insights and experiences on efficient resource use and pollution reduction in Ukraine. Among those present was Vitaliy Kindrativ, a representative from the Center for Resource Efficient and Clean Production and UNIDO Ukraine, who also joined the discussion.
This gathering marks a significant milestone for advancing Ukraine’s circular economy, as it encourages the integration of European practices into national policy. The topics addressed could spark new initiatives focused on sustainable resource management—an essential response to today’s environmental challenges. Collaboration between government agencies, businesses, and academic institutions can further strengthen the adoption of circular models across various economic sectors.
