Soybean Exports from Ukraine in December 2025
Soybean exports from Ukraine in December 2025 amounted to 202.6 thousand tons. Of this volume:
- 61% of the exports, amounting to 123.6 thousand tons, was carried out by maritime transport;
- 36% of the exports, or 72.9 thousand tons, was provided by rail transport;
- only 3% of the exports, which is 6.1 thousand tons, was sent by road transport.
The main markets for Ukrainian soybeans remain Turkey and European Union countries.
Price Decline for Soybeans and Exports of Other Products
Additionally, there is a decline in soybean prices in the market. The spot price index for GMO soybeans with delivery CPT port for export has decreased to $422 excluding VAT, while the spot price index for GMO soybeans for processing has decreased to $457 including VAT. These changes reflect shifts in the market situation and could impact future export volumes in the coming months.
From January to November 2025, Ukraine also exported 185 tons of lamb and goat meat, which is 35% more than in the same period a year earlier. This indicator suggests an increase in the export volumes of other animal products.
The decline in soybean prices may indicate an oversupply in the market or decreased demand, which in turn could lead to adjustments in production and exporter strategies. Such changes may affect Ukraine’s agricultural sector as a whole, as soybeans are an important crop for the country’s economy. At the same time, the increase in lamb and goat meat exports may indicate diversification of sales markets and improvement of competitiveness of Ukrainian producers in the international arena.
