Ukrainian flour exports fell by 11%: key markets reduced purchases

Експорт пшеничного борошна з України скоротився, оскільки основні імпортери зменшили обсяги закупівель.

Ukrainian wheat flour exports

Ukrainian wheat flour exports in the first five months of the 2025/26 marketing year decreased by 11% compared to the previous season, amounting to 26 thousand tons. The main volume of exports went to Moldova, the Czech Republic, and Palestine, which also reduced purchases. In November 2025, 5.4 thousand tons of flour were shipped.

  • Moldova's purchases amounted to 7.9 thousand tons, which is 10% less than last season.
  • The Czech Republic purchased 4.7 thousand tons, which represents a 23% decrease.
  • Palestine bought 4.3 thousand tons, which is 25% less than the 5.7 thousand tons in the 2024/25 season.

Domestic flour production also decreased: from July to November of the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine produced 371.7 thousand tons of flour, which is 8% less than for the same period last season.

Expected production and imports

The expected production of food processing of wheat in the current season is 2.6 million tons, which is 2% less than last season's figures. The main importing countries of Ukrainian flour remain:

  • Moldova (30%)
  • Czech Republic (18%)
  • Palestine (16%)

The decrease in flour exports and production in Ukraine may indicate economic difficulties faced by both producers and importers. The reduction in purchases by key importing countries suggests possible changes in demand or economic problems in these countries. This could affect the stability of the Ukrainian agricultural sector and the overall economic situation in the country.
