Ukraine presented its educational comic about its history and culture for the first time in Africa

В Україні створили комікс, що знайомить з її історією та культурою, і вперше презентували його в Африці.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Angola, together with Onix Cinema, presented the educational comic book 'Ucrânia Hoje' ('Ukraine Today') in Luanda. This project is the first of its kind on the continent and is an important part of Ukraine's cultural diplomacy in Africa.

The book is aimed at a Portuguese-speaking audience and tells about key events in Ukrainian history, culture, traditions, and the present day of the country. The main character of the comic is the Angolan superwoman Onix, who narrates to the readers the stages of the establishment of the Ukrainian state - from Kyivan Rus and the Cossack era to independent Ukraine. The comic also features Ukrainian architecture, cuisine, sports, national symbols, and other aspects of cultural heritage.

The 'Ucrânia Hoje' project helps the Angolan audience to better understand and familiarize themselves with Ukrainian culture and history, thereby promoting deeper cultural exchange between the countries.
