The energy system of Ukraine operates with ENTSO-E: how they balance the deficit after the attacks

Енергетична система України співпрацює з ENTSO-E: як подолано нестачу після ворожих ударів.

Situation in the energy system of Ukraine

The united energy system of Ukraine continues to operate in parallel with the European network ENTSO-E, despite attacks on energy infrastructure. Acting head of the State Energy Regulatory Commission Anatoliy Zamulko reported this during the 'Unified News' broadcast. According to him, electricity import is carried out almost around the clock, which allows maintaining balance in the energy system.

Problems in certain regions

Currently, the most difficult situation is observed in Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions. In addition, significant problems also exist in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa regions. The balance of the energy system is characterized as 'critically deficient.'

Anatoliy Zamulko noted that Ukrainian energy operates as a unified organism, and the system is balanced by using emergency shutdown schedules. This allows ensuring the stability of the energy system under crisis situations.

The situation in the energy sector of Ukraine remains critical due to constant attacks on infrastructure, which threatens the energy security of the country. In the context of military actions, electricity imports from European countries become an important element for ensuring system stability. The situation in certain areas, particularly in Kharkiv and Chernihiv, requires urgent measures to improve the energy balance and prevent possible emergencies.
