The European Union is preparing to send Ukraine a financial aid package worth 6 billion euros by the end of this year. This funding will be used to cover budget expenses in early 2026. This was announced by European Commissioner for Economy and Productivity Valdis Dombrovskis.

'We plan to pay six billion euros by the end of this year to ensure or already cover the needs in early next year, as this is when Ukraine often faces funding problems,' Dombrovskis explained.

The European Union is also cooperating with other international donors, including the International Monetary Fund, to provide additional financial support. It is planned to merge two cooperation programs with Ukraine by the end of the year, which will simplify the aid provision process.

Moreover, the European Commission is considering options for using funds from its budget and Russian assets to support Ukraine. This will be an important step for the Ukrainian economy, especially during the period of funding deficits for budget needs.

Ukraine has been promised 6 billion euros in financial aid from the European Union, which will help cover budget expenses in early next year. This support is crucial in the context of the lack of funding in the Ukrainian budget.
