EU guarantees €100 million for investments in Ukraine: what to expect

Європейський Союз виділить 100 мільйонів євро для підтримки інвестицій в Україні: яке майбутнє чекає на країну?
At the forum 'Ukraine – EU: Invest in Recovery' in Brussels, an agreement was signed between the European Commission and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for the allocation of €100 million in guarantees for investments in Ukraine. The received guarantees will be directed to the Amber-Dragon fund, which invests in key sectors for the recovery and sustainable development of the Ukrainian economy, such as transport, logistics, energy, and telecommunications. This initiative is being implemented under the Better Futures – Resilience, Reconstruction and Regeneration of Ukraine (RE-Ukraine) program, launched by the European Commission within the Global Gateway.

According to the First Deputy Minister of Community Development and Territories of Ukraine Alona Shkrum, the €100 million in guarantees is just the beginning, which can help attract around $1 billion in investments in the energy, transport, and infrastructure sectors. The agreement confirms that investing in Ukraine is possible even amid war, and the Ukrainian economy remains reliable, modern, and open to the world. The Ministry of Community Development and Territories of Ukraine continues to work on making the recovery and infrastructure projects of Ukraine even more attractive for international investors, even in the most challenging conditions.
