Military Collaboration Between China and Russia
The European Union has verified that China is directly involved in providing military assistance to Russia, including training hundreds of Russian troops on Chinese soil before they are deployed to Ukraine. EU intelligence agencies have confirmed that this training took place at multiple facilities across China. According to reports, some of the Russian soldiers who completed the program have since returned to fight in Ukraine.
Chinese military personnel have been traveling to Russia since 2024, while the training of Russian fighters in China marks a new phase in bilateral cooperation. In May, China trained approximately 200 Russian service members, as reported by Reuters. “Our services have confirmed the information regarding China’s training of Russian soldiers. The training took place at several bases in China, and hundreds of Russian military personnel received it,” said a European Union representative.
