Ukrainian arms manufacturers have joined the European initiative SAFE INFODAY. Private defense industry companies participated in an event organized by the Ukraine Facility Platform, where they learned about the conditions and schedule for the launch of the SAFE program. The initiative involves joint procurement of defense equipment worth 150 billion euros by 2030, with the aim of promptly replenishing stocks and developing production capabilities. Ukrainian manufacturers can participate in joint procurements and work on long-term contracts with European partners.
The SAFE program provides clear priorities for weapons and technologies, opening up opportunities for Ukrainian companies to present their developments in the European market. Member states were required to submit applications for loans by July 27, after which detailed work on investment plans will begin. Ukraine, unable to take loans independently, will be able to attract financing through participation in contracts with other countries.
