Payments to families play a key role in the fight against poverty and promote social integration, as they help support households and prevent child poverty. In Europe, spending on family support varies significantly: the average expenditure per person in EU countries in 2022 was 830 euros, which is 47% higher than in 2012 - 566 euros.

According to Eurostat, the highest spending on family support per person in 2022 was in Luxembourg (€3,789), while the lowest was in Albania (€48). Scandinavian countries lead the list with high spending, such as Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, and Finland. Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Ireland also spend more than 1000 euros per person, while Italy and Spain have a lower figure. It is worth noting that candidate countries for EU membership, such as Montenegro and Serbia, offer the lowest level of family support.

According to analysts' forecasts, by 2030, 45% of women aged 25 to 44 in the US may live without partners or children. Providing family support through payments helps reduce poverty and promotes social stability in European countries.
