Evacuations Underway in Zaporizhzhia Region

Authorities are continuing to evacuate residents from frontline communities in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region. In a recent operation from the Polohy district, three individuals were rescued: 69-year-old Lidiia, 75-year-old Lidiia, and 73-year-old Volodymyr. These measures are being taken to ensure the safety of local inhabitants due to the persistent threat of hostilities in the area. The region has been a focal point of intense fighting since Russia's full-scale invasion began in 2022.

The evacuees received necessary psychological support. One of the women who was evacuated shared her harrowing experience:

“The situation there is so dire that Russian drones are constantly hunting for you. You can't sleep, day or night—it's constant fear. There's no electricity, even the technical water supply has run out… We just sat there and survived as best we could. I am immensely grateful to the rescuers who came for us, helped us gather our things, and took us to a safe place.”

The evacuation efforts are ongoing, and anyone in need can count on support and assistance. Specialists continue to work on ensuring the safety of the population in the region.
