UEFA has announced details of the draw procedure for the final stage of Euro-2026 Futsal, which will take place today, October 24, in Kaunas, Lithuania (starting at 12:00 Kyiv time). This was reported by 'Glavkom'.
16 teams are distributed across four pots according to their positions in the national team rankings as of September 25.
- Pot 1: Portugal, Spain, Ukraine, France.
- Pot 2: Croatia, Italy, Slovenia, Czech Republic.
- Pot 3: Poland, Armenia, Georgia, Belarus.
- Pot 4: Belgium, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania.
During the draw, UEFA will place our team and Belarus in different groups. The host countries of the tournament are automatically distributed across different quartets: Latvia in Group A, Lithuania in Group B, Slovenia in Group C. Ukraine is expected to land in Group A or B, according to UEFA's circular.
Euro-2026: Dates and Venues
Euro-2026 will take place from January 21 to February 7 at venues in Riga, Latvia, Kaunas, Lithuania, and Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian national team achieved a significant victory over Azerbaijan in the World Cup qualifying. They also won the match against Iceland in the World Cup qualifying.
