The Euro Strengthens, While the Dollar Stays Stable: How to Protect Savings According to Experts

«Евро демонструє зростання, в той час як долар залишається на стабільному рівні: поради експертів з захисту фінансових заощаджень»

Exchange Rate in Ukraine

The euro exchange rate in Ukraine is showing growth, while the dollar strengthens less actively. In such conditions, financial experts recommend not to rush into emotional decisions and to consider various tools to preserve savings.

At the beginning of February, the selling rate of the euro dropped to 43.75 UAH per euro; however, the current buying rate exceeds 49 UAH per euro. This indicates significant strengthening of the European currency. At the same time, the forecasted dollar rate on the interbank market from December 15 to 21 will be 42.1–42.6 UAH per dollar, while on the cash market it will be 42.3–42.8 UAH per dollar. These figures indicate that the dollar continues to remain stable, although it does not show as significant changes as the euro.

Recommendations from Financial Experts

Experts advise to consider investments in banking metals, as the price of a gold ingot weighing 10 grams is about 65 thousand UAH. The recommended amount to enter such investments is from 1400 euros. Experts note that if the rate is fixed and a transition to metals occurs, there is potential for significant profit.

“If it is fixed and you transition 'to metals', there is a chance to earn three times more by 2026, more than 50% per annum,” said Andriy Zablovsky.

According to economic analyst Oleg Pendzin, it won't be clear where it's better to invest funds: in dollars, euros, securities, etc., until after December 18. This confirms the importance of a strategic approach to financial management in the current economic situation. Thus, investors need to be attentive and cautious in their decisions, as changes in the currency market can significantly affect their savings.

Changes in exchange rates, particularly the growth of the euro, may reflect general trends in the economies of Europe and Ukraine, as well as the impact of external economic factors. Investors should keep an eye on news and analytics to make informed decisions about their financial assets. In the midst of instability, it is important not only to consider current rates but also to forecast possible changes in the future.
