The European Commission has confirmed its support for Ukraine in strengthening anti-corruption infrastructure and continuing investigations into high-level corruption. This is an extremely important step for Ukrainian partners in the move towards European standards.
The European Union emphasized the need to preserve the independence of NABU and SAP, as well as to ensure their effectiveness. Partners also called for the cancellation of the 'Lozovoy amendments' regarding the timeframe of pre-trial investigations, which violate the principles of independent justice.
Thus, the support of the European Commission will help Ukraine in the fight against corruption and contribute to the further establishment of high standards of transparency and the rule of law in the country.
