A new international night train will appear in Europe, directly connecting Belgium and the Netherlands with Denmark and Sweden. The route Brussels - Amsterdam - Copenhagen - Malmö is planned to launch in April 2028. This is reported by Euronews.
The new route will be the first operated by European Sleeper to Scandinavia. The project is being implemented in partnership with the German railway company RDC, which has experience in organizing night transport between Germany and Scandinavian countries.

According to the preliminary schedule, trains will depart from Brussels and Malmö at approximately 19:00 local time and arrive at the final destination around 10:00 the next day.
Passengers will be offered standard seating, couchettes, and sleeping compartments. There is also a possibility of introducing luxury cars with double beds and private bathrooms.
«Our network is growing rapidly, and Scandinavia is a natural next step. Together with RDC, we can create a night train that will directly connect Benelux with Copenhagen and Malmö», said European Sleeper co-founder Chris Engelsman.

The route will create a direct night connection between Western and Northern Europe. Copenhagen and Malmö will be accessible without transfers, while London, Paris, Stockholm, and Oslo can be reached with one transfer.
«We see real potential in combining our operational experience with the growing network of European Sleeper and its customer base», noted RDC CEO Markus Hunkel.
European Sleeper is also expanding its network in other directions. On September 9, 2026, the company plans to launch a night train between Brussels and Milan via Switzerland and northern Italy. A Brussels - Barcelona connection is also planned for 2028.
